Emma James & Newoak Flower Girl

Emma James and her pony Newoak Flower Girl have had a fantastic season so far.  Petal, as she's known at home, is owned by Emma's Grandmother, Margaret Kivell and was purchased from her breeders Joyce & Jacky Newberry at the Newoak Stud.  Petal is out of Joyce's show pony mare, Hinwood Taffeta, by Llanarth Alleycat.

Emma & Petal started off the season by winning the Novice Show Pony Class at our own Area 26 Spring Show, qualifying for the Novice final and also qualifying for our End of Season Extravaganza, in both the ridden and in hand class!

At the NPS Area 10 Summer Show Emma and Petal won the British Isles Ridden Championship, Reserve Devon Champions and Reserve Supreme!

Continuing their winning streak the following week at Devon County Show they qualified for the RIHS Show Open Show Pony class.  The following day at the BSPS 13b show they went on to qualify for the RIHS Pretty Polly Show Pony class AND the RIHS Small part-bred Arab class.  3 RIHS tickets in one weekend!

To top it all off Emma & Petal have just qualified for the SEIB Search for a Star Competition at HOYS!

Emma's mother Clare says 'Emma is having the most exciting year with Petal and is looking forward to competing at RIHS, the NPS Summer Champs, the NPS Area 26 End of Season Extravaganza and HOYS!  Petal has the most amazing temperament and is a true child's pony!'

All of us at Area 26 wish Emma & Petal the best of luck for the coming year!!
